FourSix46® Global Ltd was incorporated on 11 September 2025. Company No. 16712658. Registered in England and Wales, with the registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. Those facts are on the record with Companies House and they won't change. What I want to write about here is everything around them — the part that doesn't fit in a press release.
Why incorporate at all, before there was anything to protect
By September 2025 I didn't have a client, a live product, or a team beyond myself. What I had was a name — 46DC — that had been in everyday use since around 2020, and a growing sense that the things I wanted to build (a software agency, a film industry platform, a street-dog registry, a logistics company) needed one structure underneath them rather than four separate, disconnected efforts.
I'd moved to the UK in 2022, finished an MSc in Information Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and spent the years since working out what I actually wanted to build rather than just where I wanted to work. Incorporating wasn't a formality tacked on after the ideas existed — it was closer to the opposite. I wanted the container to exist first, correctly, so that whatever I built afterwards would have somewhere real to sit.
What the process actually involved
The mechanics of incorporating a UK limited company are, on paper, simple: choose a name, register an address, file with Companies House, get a company number back. In practice, the part that took real thought wasn't the filing — it was the decisions that had to be locked in before the filing, because they're expensive to change afterwards.
The name itself was one of those decisions. FourSix46 — the numeral form of "46DC," the number that's followed me since 2018, sitting inside a company name rather than just a personal handle. I wanted the parent company to carry that number the same way every venture underneath it would.
The structure was the other one. I didn't want four separate limited companies for four ideas I hadn't built yet — that's a way of manufacturing legal and accounting overhead before there's anything to manage. So the decision, from the start, was one legal entity — FourSix46® Global Ltd — with everything else (Stack46, Cinevenn, 46 Dogs, Route46) existing underneath it as trading names, not as separate companies. That decision, made in September 2025 before any of those ventures had a website, is the reason the whole structure holds together the way it does now.

What it felt like, versus what it meant
Honestly, the day itself was quiet. There was no launch, no announcement, nothing to point at. I registered a data-controller entry with the ICO not long after (registration ZC052022), because I already knew there'd be user data flowing through some of these ventures eventually, and I'd rather have that in place early than retrofit it under pressure later.
What incorporating actually gave me wasn't momentum — it was a fixed point. A company number I could put on an invoice that didn't exist yet, a registered address I could put in a footer that didn't exist yet, a legal name I could put behind a trademark filing that, at the time, was still ten weeks away. Everything that's happened since — the trademarks filed in November, registered in February, the ventures that have since gone live or moved toward launch — happened underneath something that was already correctly built.
I think there's a temptation, when you're building something from nothing, to treat the legal and administrative layer as the boring part you deal with once the "real" work has proven itself. I went the other way. I wanted FourSix46® Global Ltd to exist, properly, in the public record, before I'd built anything that depended on it existing. That's what incorporation actually involved — not excitement, just the decision to be correct early rather than correct eventually.
